Characteristics

You are now looking at a collection of three grinders and three types of pepper that will open the door to a whole new world of flavors and aromas.

We chose the color of the grinders so that you always know immediately which one to reach for if you need to grind black, red or white Kampot pepper into your food.

Our natural grinders are designed to be a decoration of your kitchen. Their shape was designed to fit perfectly in each hand and not slip in it. The head is pleasant to grip and gives a perfect response from the grinding mechanism, which is hidden inside the grinder. Create an uncompromising set with which you can grind every grain of pepper and every crystal of salt. With the set, you can also order a stand for the grinders made of premium walnut wood.

This set also includes three basic packs of individual types of Kampot pepper, i.e. black, red and white. They differ from each other in their taste and smell, which you can hardly find in pepper bought in regular supermarkets.

black pepper after grinding, it releases notes of eucalyptus, camphor and thyme accompanied by the scent of lime peel. These gradually flow into a seaside aroma with developing fruity notes. The aroma of peach and nectarine is dominant, accompanied by the scent of pine and the earthy tones of the Cambodian mountain soil full of minerals.

Rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity notes with a gentler burn. At first, notes of rose and rosehip fruit dominate, which then transition into dried cherries. After two to three minutes, the more characteristic aromas of Kampot pepper begin to develop, such as citrus fruits, dried tangerines and an earthier crust of sourdough bread.

White pepper it is a gentle but still peppery caress of the taste buds. After it is ground, the aromas of camphor, sage and cedar wood develop, accompanied by the delicate aroma of nutmeg, grapefruit and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in your mouth, you can feel notes of nutmeg, thyme flower and lemon balm underpinned by aromas of cedar and black tea.

Grinding mechanism

The heart of each grinder is the ceramic CrushGrind® grinding mechanism

which can grind peppercorns or salt evenly in 14 degrees of coarseness. The entire patented mechanism is covered by a 25-year guarantee, so you can be sure that this grinder will last.

Maintenance

By adjusting the coarseness of the grind, you influence the pepper’s flavor profile.

The smaller the fragments, the sharper the pepper’s taste will be. Conversely, larger fragments will release more of Kampot pepper’s unique exotic tones into the dish.

When refilling the grinder, never use bare hands, instead pour the loose peppercorns directly into the chamber from the package using a spoon or funnel. Don’t forget to clean your grinder regularly. Never use water or chemical cleaners for this. A cloth, a small brush, and a drop of olive oil will do. Always keep the grinder away from the sink and be careful when using it above steam.

Materials

All three grinders are made of natural wood.

namely black-brown ash, brown walnut and light oak. Each grinder has a unique wood pattern and also a special surface treatment, thanks to which each of them will last you for many decades.
