The Kampot pepper is cultivated in Kampot province, located in the far south of East Asian Cambodia.

This is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, allows local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. It is no coincidence that this pepper has received a protected geographical indication, much like French champagne.
We purchase pepper from small family farms for direct trade conditions that ensure a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders.

Characteristic

White pepper is a gentle, yet consistently peppery caress of the taste buds.

After it is ground, they unfurl outwardly of camphor, sage and cedarwood, accompanied by a subtle aroma of musk flower, grapefruits and other citrus fruits. After a few minutes in the mouth, you can detect notes of nutmeg, of thyme flower and lemon balm underscored by the aroma of cedar and black tea.

Processing

White pepper is a specialty that is obtained from fully ripe red peppercorns.

They are then dried on direct sunlight and then soaked again, so that it is possible to remove the red husk, leaving only the creamy white peppercorn.

Thanks to the meticulous selection meeting the strict quality requirements of Kampot pepper, as determined by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the best peppercorns are hand-selected. They are then vacuum-packed so that the quality and freshness are preserved during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further sorted, packed and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Thanks to the diverse taste, aroma, and spiciness, different types of pepper are suitable for various purposes. White pepper goes well with light meat.

It wonderfully enhances the flavor of seafood, and pairs well with risotto, creamy soups and its flavor is not lost even when combined with a good paste. The more gently you grind Kampot pepper, the more intense the spiciness will be, on the other hand, larger fragments or even whole grains impart more distinctive pepper notes to the dish.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag-sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

Thanks to that, the grains even after opening the bag retain their authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper. After emptying, you can also, as part of sustainability, upcycle and continue to use them in a variety of other ways. We pack the pepper in reclosable bags with a capacity of 20 to 1000 grams.
