Origin

Kampot pepper is grown in Kampot province located in the very south of East Asian Cambodia.

It is an area that, thanks to its coastal climate and geological conditions, enables local farmers to produce pepper of the highest quality in the world. Not without reason, this pepper has earned a protected geographical indication, just like French champagne.
From small family farms, we buy pepper under direct trade conditions that ensure a fair reward for every grower, and we strive to promote this approach among other traders.
Thanks to this, when you buy from us, you not only obtain the highest quality pepper, but also the assurance that you are purchasing a sustainable and ethically responsible product that helps ensure its producers access to medical care and education for their children

Characteristic

A rare dark red Kampot pepper unleashes an explosion of fruity notes in the mouth, accompanied by a milder spiciness.

Initially, the dark red peppercorns release aromatic tones of blood oranges, cranberries, and elderberries, underpinned by characteristic notes of cedar and lemon balm with a subtle hint of tobacco leaves. After a while, the heart of the dark red pepper begins to emerge, reminiscent of leavened dough, fresh spices along with roasted malt. It is a very full-bodied fragrance that gradually transitions into black Assam tea, and in the finish, notes of cedar reappear.

Processing

We can literally call dark red pepper a selection of berries. These are strictly selected red seeds achieving the highest color saturation of their peel.

It truly reveals a high content of fructose and a unique flavor profile of these seeds that you will love.

Thanks to the careful selection corresponding to the strict quality requirements for Kampot pepper exported from Kampot, set by the Kampot Pepper Association, only the very best seeds are hand-picked. They are then vacuum-packed to ensure that the quality and freshness are preserved during the journey to the Czech Republic, where they are further sorted, packed, and delivered right to your table.

Usage

Thanks to the high fructose content, which gives red pepper an intense fruity taste, this pepper can be experimented with when mixing drinks or preparing sweet pastries.

Give it space during Christmas baking, perfectly accentuate the flavor fish or poultry meat. And surprise your guests with its refined taste and aroma.

The more finely you grind the Kampot pepper, the more intense will be the spiciness, on the other hand, larger fragments or whole peppercorns will impart more distinctive pepper notes to the dish.

Package

Thanks to the materials used and the special bag-sealing technology, air and moisture do not reach the pepper.

Thanks to this, even after the bag is opened, the seeds retain authentic taste and aroma of Kampot pepper. After emptying, you can also, as part of sustainability, upcycle and continue to use them in a variety of other ways. We pack the pepper into resealable bags with capacities ranging from 20 to 1000 grams. Each Package also includes a brochure that brings you the story of the best pepper in the world and brings the .pepper..field world closer.

Awards

Quality is our top priority, as confirmed not only by the certificates that our pepper carries, but also by the awards it wins at global competitions.

Among the most significant is the award given to our pepper as part of competition Great Taste, one of the most prestigious competitions in the world of gastronomy.

However, sustainability is also important to us, which we do not treat as mere empty words, as demonstrated by the SDG’s award granted to truly sustainable and socially responsible projects.
