What is hidden under the mysterious name Biltong could best be explained by brothers Ondřej and Jakub from Maso Here.

Thanks to their experience in South Africa, where this type of dried meat has its roots, they are now among the largest specialists in its preparation. Because of this, they constantly strive to improve their methods and seek new ways to create the perfect biltong, and Kampot pepper is their faithful helper.

Ingredients

The red Kampot pepper you find in the product is a specialty of the Kampot plantations.

On these plantations, peppercorns are allowed to ripen to a deep red color full of fructose. They are then harvested and sun-dried, gaining their characteristic dark red color.

Rare red pepper is an explosion of fruity tones with a milder spiciness. Initially, tones of rose and rosehip fruit dominate, which then transition into dried cherries. After two to three minutes, more characteristic aromas for Kampot pepper begin to develop, such as citrus fruits, dried mandarins, and a more earthy crust of sourdough bread.

Ingredients: beef, apple cider vinegar, coriander, pepper, garlic, salt, Kampot red pepper whole (1.25%). The product does not contain any allergens or substances from the World Anti-Doping Code's Prohibited List.

Store in a dry and cool place in a well-sealed container, at temperatures up to 25°C, and do not expose the meat to direct sunlight.

Characteristic

Classic jerky, that is small pieces of dried meat, is known by everyone, but biltong is known by few.

Biltong is specially prepared dried meat, which unlike jerky, is sliced after the drying process. Thanks to this, this type of meat is incredibly juicy, tasty, and authentic.Due to the thicker slices, it resembles fresh meat much more. It is mostly made from beef, but you can also find biltong from llama, antelope, ostrich, or game.

Compared to jerky, the ingredients used to flavor the meat are different, and as a result, it has an absolutely unique taste. In the special preparation process, which has its roots in South Africa, we decided to add the best from South Asia in the form of red Kampot pepper, and the result is an absolutely world-class taste.

Usage

Whether you embark on a full-day hike in the mountains or need a quick snack in the urban jungle, biltong is always handy.

Just take a few pieces, chew, and enjoy the perfect taste of peppered meat. But beware, it is a very addictive affair and Package can be empty in the blink of an eye.

Package

To ensure you can carry biltong with you at all times, we pack it in bags with a resealable mechanism.

This way, the meat is always protected and lasts longer. However, we recommend not delaying consumption too much after opening. Unopened, it lasts up to one year.
